Dr. James Michael Broome, DO, PharmD
Michael grew up in a small town in Mississippi, where he developed the values of hard work, integrity, and serving others that continue to guide his approach to patient care today.
He attended the University of Southern Mississippi, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry. Following his undergraduate education, he attended the University of Mississippi, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences after two years before completing his Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
Dr. Broome practiced as a pharmacist for nine years, gaining extensive experience in medication management, patient education, and chronic disease treatment. Driven by a desire to expand his ability to care for patients, he returned to school in 2015 to attend medical school at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) Auburn campus. He graduated in 2019 and went on to complete a three-year Emergency Medicine residency, where he developed expertise in caring for patients with a wide variety of acute illnesses and injuries.
Dr. Broome believes patients deserve compassionate, individualized care without unnecessary barriers. Through telemedicine, urgent care services, weight management, and house calls, he is committed to helping patients receive the care they need, when and where they need it.
As both a physician and a pharmacist, Dr. Broome brings a unique perspective to patient care, combining a deep understanding of medications with broad medical training to provide thoughtful, evidence-based treatment. His goal is to build lasting relationships with patients and families while delivering healthcare that is both modern and deeply personal.
Michael & Lindsay have been married since 2009 and are the proud parents of six amazing children. As a family, they cherish spending time together, building meaningful friendships, loving others as deeply as possible, and serving their community with compassion, kindness, and genuine care.
Dr. Lindsay Broome, PharmD
Lindsay grew up in a small town in Alabama, where she developed a deep appreciation for family, community, and caring for others. Raised in her family's independent pharmacy, now serving the community for more than 48 years, she witnessed firsthand the impact that compassionate, personalized healthcare can have on people's lives. Those early experiences inspired her passion for pharmacy and continue to shape her patient-centered approach today.
She attended Birmingham-Southern College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Psychology. She also completed the requirements for a secondary education teaching certificate. During her undergraduate years, Lindsay played Division I basketball, an experience that strengthened her values of teamwork, discipline, perseverance, and leadership.
Following graduation, Lindsay attended Samford University, McWhorter School of Pharmacy, where she earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree. She has practiced pharmacy for 18 years, gaining extensive experience in medication management, patient education, and helping individuals better understand and manage their health.
As a pharmacist, Lindsay is passionate about making healthcare feel personal, approachable, and easy to understand. She believes patients should feel comfortable asking questions and should leave each interaction feeling heard, respected, and confident in their care. Her background in biology, psychology, education, athletics, and pharmacy allows her to connect with patients from many different walks of life.
